Bullet Resistant Acrylic Security Glass

Bullet Resistant Acrylic Security Glass is the most common glazing used in interior Bullet Resistant Applications. This material consists of a single piece of solid plastic ranging from 1¼” to 1⅜” and can be drilled, routed, cut, and slotted to seamlessly integrate with the mounting hardware. Acrylic passes light almost perfectly, and since its rough cut edges can be flame-polished clear, it lends itself to the attractive, unobtrusive installations favored in most public buildings.

LEVEL 1

Level 1 acrylic security glass is able to withstand shots from small caliber handguns, most commonly used in armed robberies. Most small businesses use Level 1 bullet resistant acrylic glazing as a crime deterrent. This material is commonly found in places like Gas Stations, Retail Stores and Pharmacies and is offered in standard and AR (Abrasion Resistant) options.

Standard Bulletproof Acrylic Glazing
Level 1 acrylic glazing sheets combine the physical characteristics of cast acrylic sheets with a cleanable surface. TSS Level One acrylic sheets are to be used in applications where optical quality, cleanability and long-term retention of properties are important.

Abrasion Resistant (AR) Bulletproof Acrylic Glazing
TSS Level 1 abrasion resistant acrylic sheets includes all the physical characteristics of cast acrylic sheets with an abrasion resistant, cleanable surface. The surface is a crosslinked polysilicate resin. This unique treatment gives an outstanding combination of properties including abrasion resistance, solvent resistance and weatherability, including increased resistance to the effects of ultraviolet light. TSS Level 1 AR acrylic sheets are to be used in applications where optical quality, cleanability and long term retention of properties are important.

LEVEL 2

Level 2 acrylic security glass is able to withstand shots from larger caliber handguns, and is made for buildings with increased security concerns. Businesses that use Level 2 bullet resistant acrylic include Banks, Financial Institutions and other businesses with increased security concerns. This material is offered in standard and AR (Abrasion Resistant) options.
