A breakthrough in sound control, Acousti-Mat® II HP takes the proven sound reduction of Acousti-Mat's floating floor technology and adds an additional layer of noise control. An acoustical fabric is laminated to the bottom of Acousti-Mat's core of fused entangled polymeric filaments, attached to a non-woven, water-resistant fabric, and then topped with a high-strength Maxxon Underlayment. Acousti-Mat II HP increases the acoustical performance of a wood floor/ceiling assembly by up to 16 IIC points. With a nominal 5/16" height, the mat requires only a 1" topping. Considered a "green" building material, the core of Acousti-Mat II HP is composed of 40% pre-consumer recycled content.
