Usually one or two coats of polyurethane coating is applied to protect the surface.
  • Kwortz, : This type of flooring is a blend of industrial grade epoxy resin and quartz granules applied in two or three layers for a total thickness of 1/8″. Decorative quartz flooring can be installed as a cove base also. Therefore, it is usually applied in kitchens and restrooms. They are seamless floors with very high impermeability.
  • : This type of flooring is a blend of polyurethane resin, portland cement and graded aggregates. Polyurethane cement floors are known for thermal shock resistance and therefore are very popular in food preparation areas.
