As part of a larger effort to put new Learning Environment Guidelines into practice, Wake County Public Schools recently constructed a brighter, more vibrant Vandora Springs Elementary School. The new 110,058-square-foot facility includes 52 classrooms and learning spaces that support student health and learning with views of the outdoors and plenty of natural light.
The Guardian 275® wall panel systems in the school’s library and cafeteria help illuminate the space in soft daylight while the system’s placement prevents direct sunlight from creating uncomfortable glare or hot spots. But translucent panel systems are not only functional, they can also add a unique aesthetic. The Verti-Lite™ grid pattern featured in the new Vandora Springs Elementary School, for example, provides the perfect balance of beauty and practicality, with a simple and elegant look.
