TRACO has announced a new NX double window that offers superior energy efficiency designed for condominium complexes, apartment buildings and schools and universities. The NX–501 aluminum window features a 3-1/4” frame, 7/8” insulating glass and warm edge technology. The TRACO NX-501 is designed with TRACO NEXGEN ™ technology that will meet the growing demand for energy efficiency, green building and LEED® certification. The NEXGEN Energy Spacer™, NEXGEN Thermal Barrier System™ and NEXGLAZE™ Structural silicone glazing system give these products the inherent ability to continually perform year after year. Energy Saving can average 15% annually in a typical multi-family housing unit. With the NEXGEN™ technology.

The NX-640 series offers superior thermal performance with a U value of 0.36, a 10lb. water performance, dual color/dual finish option and multiple configurations. “This new product line will extend the product life cycle in a way that wood and PVC can not compete,” says Bob Randall, president and CEO of TRACO. “This is an aluminum product line that provides structural strength, will satisfy stringent future energy codes, while allowing architects and building owners design options of two different color coatings on the exterior and interior for new construction and retrofit applications,” Randall says. “This line of products is about the future and innovations in enhanced energy efficiency and design, it is what’s needed to compete in the marketplace,” he adds.

TRACO’s five manufacturing facilities, totaling approximately 2 million square feet, are located in Cranberry Township, PA (north of Pittsburgh), Johnson City, TN, Bainbridge, GA, Red Oak, IA and Miami, FL. The company manufactures products for retrofit, new construction and historic projects utilizing state-of-the-art systems. TRACO’s capabilities include glass laminating, glass tempering, anodizing, paint finishing, aluminum extruding and glass insulating. Established in 1943 by Mae and E.R. Randall, TRACO now employs more than 1,800 Team Members. Memorable landmark projects include, handcrafting the windows for the crown of the Statue of Liberty and manufacturing more than 6,000 windows for the Empire State Building.
