Ballpark Village is a dynamic, mixed-use, sport enthusiast district with three one-of-a-kind anchors, along with dining and entertainment. Next to Busch Stadium and home of the St. Louis Cardinals, this 550,000 sq. ft. project features Wausau Tile's architectural pavers and custom precast concrete. With over 10 million visitors and more than 120 annual events held at this location, the durability, strength and overall look of the products used was of utmost importance.
The transformation of Ballpark Village included a 700,000 sq. ft. expansion with a 29-story luxury residential tower, the first new construction Class-A Office building in downtown in 30+ years, an upscale Live! By Loews hotel and a three-story pavilion.
With Wausau Tile's on-grade, vehicle rated 4" x 8" x 3" architectural pavers and custom precast concrete treads, and the ability to create custom colors, we were able to match the district's theme while also creating a safe and visitor friendly environment. Turning this village into a vibrant 24/7 urban district for the many visitors, tenants and residents was a major overhaul. One that Wausau Tile was proud to be a part of.
