About Specialty Systems
Specialty Systems
Our system portfolio includes a series of special wall assemblies engineered to meet very particular design requirements of the building enclosure (Hurricane resistance for example) and to accommodate different types of building substrates such as Aerated Autoclave Concrete or Insulated Concrete Forms.
Direct-applied Exterior Finish System (DEFS) for use on weather protected walls and un-insulated exterior soffit and ceiling applications.
Direct-applied exterior finish system over glass mat faced gypsum board for use on weather-protected ceilings, soffits and walls.
Our Pool Room Finish System provides a decorative and resistant interior enclosure for indoor pools and similar enclosed spaces subject to high humidity, chlorine and other chemicals.
Decorative and protective finish system for interior walls and ceilings of residential or commercial indoor swimming pool rooms.
Insulating Concrete Form (ICF) is a system of formwork for concrete that stays in place as permanent building insulation for energy-efficient, cast-in-place, reinforced concrete walls, floors, and roofs.
The forms are interlocking modular units, somewhat like Lego bricks, that are dry-stacked and filled with concrete, serving to create a form for the structural walls or floors of a building. ICF construction is becoming increasingly commonplace for both low rise commercial and residential construction as more stringent energy efficiency and natural disaster resistant building codes are adopted.

Our ACC Finish System is perfect to provide a decorative and resistant cladding over this quick and easy-to-install, highly insulating concrete based material.
Decorative and protective finish system for above grade exterior AAC wall construction.
Every year, Hurricanes threaten the coastlines of North America, striking coastal areas in 82 of the last 100 years. From Hurricane Dennis to Katrina, Rita to Wilma, the new millennium has brought 27 major Hurricanes and along with it more than $56.8 billion in property insurance losses for homes and businesses.
Sto Hurricane Impact (HI) Systems provide a full range of exterior cladding options to protect against hurricane and tropical storm winds, water intrusion, and wind-borne debris which is a leading cause of building envelope failure. All of Sto’s Hurricane Systems meet the stringent Miami-Dade County, Florida NOA criteria for impact resistance, air and water infiltration, and wind load resistance.
All Hurricane Systems can be installed economically on a variety of construction types, including: metal frame with gypsum sheathing, wood or steel frame with plywood sheathing, or concrete masonry. Sto also provides a wide variety of decorative and protective wall finishes, affording outstanding appearance and superior wall protection against some of the most severe weather conditions in North America.
